About Us
History
Liberty Island Promise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded from a simple but urgent realization: our community was not doing enough to support legal immigrants. We saw neighbors and families struggling to navigate complex systems alone—and too often falling victim to unqualified or fraudulent “immigration help” that damaged their cases and jeopardized their future. We knew we could change that.
Drawing on more than 15 years of experience, we built an organization dedicated to closing that gap. Since 2010, we have been a trusted bridge for new Americans in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and across the United States, connecting them with the resources, information, and lawful, reliable legal assistance they need to build stable, thriving lives.
Our work focuses on guiding immigrants through the challenges of resettlement—whether that means connecting them with community services, helping them understand their rights, or providing direct legal support. Our team of attorneys and trained staff assist with completing forms, filing applications with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and ensuring that every step of the process is handled with care and accuracy.
At Liberty Island Promise, we believe that when newcomers are given the right tools, accurate information, and timely support, they can avoid costly mistakes, protect their legal status, and become strong, engaged members of the community—contributing their skills, talents, and dreams to the future we share.
Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gap by educating service providers about refugees, legal immigrants and naturalized US citizen. Through our work, we hope to strengthen the capacity of the communities by decreasing their vulnerability and increase their sense of purpose in the United States of America, in turn build healthy and productive citizens.
