To bridge the gap by educating service providers about refugees, legal immigrants and naturalized US citizens. Through our work, we hope to strengthen the capability of our communities by decreasing their vulnerability and increase their sense of purpose in the United States of America, in turn build healthy and productive citizens.
What is a refuge and an immigrant?
Refugee:
A person who fled their country of origin and cannot return due to war, natural disaster or a fear of persecution due to race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in particular social groups.
Immigrant:
A person that leaves their county of origin to permanently live in another county.
